About the Survey

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD), including ischemic heart disease and stroke, were responsible for 31.7% of all deaths and 50% of deaths from non-communicable diseases around the world.

In India death from CVD is the highest compared to any other causes. With this statistic, the worrisome part is manifold. There is early onset of risk factors – hypertension, diabetes, diabetes, dyslipidemia and obesity. Studies have also highlighted the risk in Indians is higher at lower LDL levels as compared to Western population. Moreover, CVD is affecting younger Indians with higher rates of mortality and morbidity

Studies have demonstrated that the patient understanding of CVD risk has a significant impact on their decision to take preventive measures and adherence to therapy.

This survey is conducted with the aim to understand the perceptions and considerations in managing high risk CVD patients The survey also tries to capture the possible barriers that could prevent a patient from reaching the target LDL level. The study also looks to understand the impact of recent updates and evidences in the management of high CV risk patients with ACS and Heart Failure

The survey is intended to gather opinions from MD physicians regarding management practices, perceptions, experiences and treatments in the management of CVD.

Objective of the Survey:

1. To share clinical experiences about recent advances in the management of high risk CVD patients

2. To address the management of coronary artery disease and acute coronary syndrome and understand the usage of antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapy

3. To highlight the importance of early initiation of guideline-directed medical therapy and the role of newer agents such as SGLT2 inhibitors and ARNIs.

4. Overall, to provide insights into the decision-making process in managing cardiovascular risk factors, highlighting the importance of assessing multiple factors and staying updated with the latest guidelines and therapies.
